Efthymia Vokali, PhD, is a bioengineer passionately interested in developing innovative therapies and diagnostic tools to address unmet clinical needs. Following receiving her doctorate in immunology and cancer immunotherapy at the Laboratory of Lymphatics and Cancer Bioengineering at EPFL, she joined AC Immune to advance the development of new diagnostics and therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases. In her current position, Efthymia is focusing on the development of novel PET imaging tracers for the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease and other alpha-synucleinopathies and leads the project developing a tracer for the diagnosis of TDP-43 proteinopathies.
